a few thoughts from Karl

Under the extreme conditions of the Coronavirus, it seems that we’ve been left with a lifestyle of few choices. Here we are, wrapped up in our little caves with nothing to do but binge tv.

But we can also look at this as an opportunity. This might be a good time to dig in and address those things that we haven’t been able to manage time for before.

For us artists, this is a moment when we can take advantage of attending live stream figure drawing classes and workshops with our favorite teachers and models. This not only breaks the monotony but gives us a sense of community. Safe community.

It’s in this spirit that I am offering my new online figure drawing classes. We’ll have terrific models participating live, where you can draw from the comfort of your home or wherever you happen to be, and practice your style and technique, so you can make major advances in your skill level.

Changing your skill level is paramount. And no amount of drawing without this ‘change’ will bring the quick evolution in your skill level that I know you are truly seeking.

The only way to do this is with ideas and guidance, which will press you towards your edges, ultimately encouraging you to confidently jump the fences of your own comfort zones.

I’m adapting my way of teaching to meet the challenge of these times, and invite you to continue your artistic journey online with me on ZOOM.

See you soon
Karl Gnass
