Active Anatomy: Modeling Form with Light and Tone

This Active Anatomy course is designed to ratchet up your fundamental understanding of structure and form with attention to anatomy, conceptualizing form, and troubleshooting difficult poses. We will work on the description of form with tone in medium length to longer more complete drawings. There will be an emphasis on the integration of the parts, compositional structure, and anatomical relationship. We’ll have lectures, instructional demos, and work from both photos and live-streaming models.

The goal of this Active Anatomy class is to develop the ability to draw with skill and imagination. There will be lectures, demos, and figure models streaming ‘live’. If you have been drawing for a long time and are making little evolutionary headway, then this Active Anatomy class is for you. All skill levels are welcome.
